The Broker - What It Is
Tab Trade launched in March 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, under the FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, the well-known broker.
His background matters. It suggests the person running this is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. It is better than a random name you cannot trace.
They launched with Equinix data centre access in London. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. These guys led with infrastructure. Not the typical playbook.
Market coverage: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For something this new, the breadth is not narrow.
The Software
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both platforms from a single account. Many commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both makes a difference. You are not locked into one.
MetaTrader 5 is the default. Complete charts, automated trading, tons of scripts and indicators. If you know MT4 or MT5 before, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Cleaner order book. Smoother chart interaction. cBot support. Many people prefer it after comparing.
Direct FIX connectivity is offered for algo traders but is only on the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView is said to be on the roadmap. That will be a good addition when it lands.
Accounts and Pricing
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Straightforward. No minimum deposit. Works for people who want simple pricing.
Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. Meaning your real cost can be below 0.5 pips. That is good for an offshore broker. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade requires zero deposit.
VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, execution under 20ms, negotiated fees. Not for the average person. Do not worry about it unless you move real size.
Execution Speed
The execution is the area where Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are institutional numbers. Most retail brokers quote 100ms to 300ms.
Does this affect you? For short-term trading, absolutely. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That signals something about priorities.
Combine that execution speed with the Edge account pricing and the overall offering makes sense. Not many platforms in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.
The FSRA Question
Here is the thing you need to be straight about. TabTrade is under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If that is a dealbreaker, this broker is not for you. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
That said. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in tier-1 data centre access. That does not make it safe. But inform your assessment.
The deal: you trade regulatory safety. In exchange: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether this deal is worth it depends on you.
Welcome Offer
Tab Trade runs a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Usual deposit match. You fund your account, the broker top up your balance. The normal fine print: trading volume requirements before bonus funds can be taken out. Review the fine print before you deposit.
